Profile Of Yogyakarta

Baturaden Is A Beautiful Park In Central Java

Dance Art In Aceh

Dance art in Aceh also have the special and Unix it self, which have feature on the beginning it just doing in certain ceremony which have ritual characteristic it is not for watching, this harmonious combination between dance, music and literature, is pulled by mans with limited place, the repeated movement mutinous in the pattern of movement which is simple and it is doing by revelation and in a long time.

Saman Dance

Saman Dance is one of the regional dances of Aceh's most famous moment. This dance comes from the Gayo highlands. Saman verses use the Arabic language and Aceh. In the past, Saman dance is usually presented to celebrate the event - an important event in the customs and the people of Aceh. Besides this dance usually also displayed to celebrate the birth of the Prophet Muhammad. In fact the name of "Saman" derived from one of great scholars of Aceh, Syech Saman.

Saman dance is usually displayed using the accompaniment of musical instruments, a drum and use the sound of the dancers and their applause is usually combined with hitting the chest and groin them as synchronization and threw the body into various directions. The Bukit Lawang Trust is a charitable Trust that works in communities that have been affected by natural disaster. The Trust was established in response to a flood that hit the small village of Bukit Lawang in November 2003, wiping out the whole of the village and killing 300 people.

The Trust provided immediate aid, and set up a health clinic in the village. The Trust now helps other villages like Bukit Lawang throughout Indonesia that have been affected by natural disaster such as the tsunami and earthquakes by helping the communities to rehabilitate through water, health and education projects. 100% of funds raised go directly to our projects.
